Railroad Record Club Vol. 1, recorded circa 1956, features "High Fidelity" recordings of the North Shore Line, Chicago, Aurora & Elgin, and the Chicago Transit Authority's Garfield Park "L". The Railroad Record Club of Hawkins, Wisconsin, issued a series of 10" vinyl recordings in the 1950s and 60s. While most of these featured steam trains, several cover traction properties. All have been out of print and unavailable for decades. Now, Central Electric Railfans' Association has digitally remastered these historic recordings, and they sound better than ever on Compact Disc! Volume 1 in this series includes RRC releases 18 and 36.
